Last night’s American Idol auditions brought some pleasant surprises. While I only watched the last half hour of the broadcast, I’m glad I caught the last few minutes with Phillip Phillips! His bluesy acoustic rendition of Michael Jackson’s classic, “Thriller,” wowed me and America. Well at least he was a trending topic on Twitter. Check out this performance from his Youtube page!
